Bio

I am a multidisciplinary artist, writer, filmmaker, and linguist based in Luxembourg and Virginia. My work finds itself at the intersection of language, perception, and creativity, whether exploring gesture in Pride & Prejudice, the creative lifeworlds of multilingual artists, or the language of landscape as an antidote to the climate crisis. Generally, I am compelled by questions of beauty and articulation— how do we talk about what moves us? How do we cull meaning from the sensory world? What new potential can be discovered in the borderlands between defined languages, mediums, or modalities?

Currently, I am a doctoral researcher at the University of Luxembourg, studying how multilingual artists experience creativity and develop an artistic practice. My research looks at how speaking more than one language facilitates perspectives of multiplicity and possibility in artists, as well as how creative processes can shift foreign language pedagogy toward paradigms of re-wilding and re-enchantment.

Previously, I completed my masters in Learning and Communication in Multilingual and Multicultural Contexts, also at the University of Luxembourg, and I graduated from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles with both a BFA in Film & Television Production and a BA in Spanish.
